The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) has seen major densification and a splintering urbanism, raising serious questions on urban planning, infrastructure delivery and urban fabric. The current population of Mumbai may have stabilised, but the acts of living, working and moving are becoming increasingly challenging. At Urban Centre Mumbai (UCM), our premise is to evaluate the reasons for these conundrums through a series of Urban Rubrics which will be primarily carried out through the Urban Lab. Currently, UCM is focused on research and self-generated initiatives on the below rubrics, and the research, analysis, dissemination and advocacy for the same will take various forms through UCM's Forum, Resources and Training verticals.
